Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Justice Labs LLC ("Planned," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Planned website at planned-io.com and the Planned application at app.planned-io.com (together, the "Service"). The short version: we collect only what we need to run Planned for you, we never sell your data, and we don't show ads.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
• Your content. The goals, calendar events, notes, and settings you create in Planned are stored so the Service can work.
• Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details — we never see or store your full card number. We keep basic billing records such as your plan and subscription status.
• Usage and log data. Like most web services, our servers automatically record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request logs. We use this to keep the Service secure and to diagnose problems.
• Cookies. We use a session cookie that is strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service — storing and displaying your goals, events, and notes;
• To send you the morning email digest, only if you opt in, and essential transactional emails about your account or billing;
• To process subscription payments and manage your plan;
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues;
• To respond when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, use your content for advertising, or use your content to train AI models.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers we rely on to run Planned, and only as needed to provide the Service:

• Google — sign-in (authentication);
• Stripe — payment processing for paid plans;
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, file storage, and delivery of email digests;
• MongoDB — database hosting for your account data and content.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Beyond these providers, we disclose information only if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Planned and its users.

4. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or ask us to delete it, we will delete your personal information and content within a reasonable period, except for minimal records we are legally required to keep (such as billing records). Backups are purged on a rolling basis.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access to production systems, and secrets management. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects your data.

6. Children

Planned is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access and export. You can view your content in the app anytime, and you can ask us for a copy of your data.
• Correction. You can edit your content and settings directly in the app.
• Deletion. You can delete your account, or email us to request deletion of your data.
• Email preferences. The morning digest is opt-in, and you can turn it off anytime in your settings.

8. International users

Planned is operated from the United States and your data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision.
